We are currently expecting puppies from the breeding of Tally to Tate (Benden's Wakemup For School CDX).
These pups are due early May, 2008. I would expect them to go to their new homes shortly after the first of July.
I selected Tate for Tally because of a strength of performance talent and health mixed with wonderful temperament and work ethic. This litter is a line breeding on the "Quik" litter as Tally is a Target daughter and Tate is a Tweet son. The Quik litter is well documented for it's talent, temperament and accomplishments. The other "grandparents" are Ruffian and Sinclair which happens to be a breeding I did a few years ago with good results.
Tate is pointed in the breed ring with a Best of Breed win over specials from the 12-18 month class. He is also training in Utility. Physically he is a nice compliment to Tally. The area where she is weakest (head structure) is one of his strengths. They both have stellar body properties and are moderate in size, not overdone in any way. Tally is ready to show in Utility (was actually entered in a 3-day weekend but came in season!), has earned her Certificate of Conformation Assesment and is ready to certify in tracking. We have also fit in a little field work although every time a test comes up she is in season, it seems!
I expect to keep my next boy out of this litter. Performance/working homes are preferred as I expect these to be somewhat high energy dogs. They will not be content to lay by the fireplace or be couch-potatoes (although Tally is a superior snuggler!) I expect them to need a job to stay happy.
